American Family Care Corporate Office

I keep getting charged double copays a month after my visits and AFTER my insurance has been billed which is fraudulent behavior. I have called corporate to confirm this with bank statements in hand and they have called me a liar. Also someone put their number into Solv wrong and has all of mine and my daughter's sensitive PHI. Driver's license, names, DOB, address, insurance cards, all of it. And we can see hers and her daughter's every time we sign in too. I have had written confirmation this has been fixed no less than THREE times and corporate still refuses to do anything. Last time I called I threatened to go to the state over this. Today, 04/02/26, I was charged for a $155 copay that declined thankfully because there wasn't enough on card to go through. The way they do this is to charge me EXACTLY a month later than the visit date and I KNOW I haven't been in. Calling them is no use because you never get a person on the phone. I have a degree in medical coding and this time I WILL be reporting all of this, it's ridiculous that they refuse to fix it. Stay the HELL AWAY from all offices!!!

My daughter has used AFC urgent care several times. During her most recent visit she made an appointment, sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes, and was then denied service because she had a service dog. The manager stated that their policy stated service dogs are not allowed in their facility. My daughter shared that according to ADA law it is illegal to denied access based on her having a service dog. Still she was denied service and asked to leave. My daughter always brings her service dog when she goes to AFC and has never had an issue. I went back to the urgent care to request a copy of the policy and to see if any signs were posted or n regards to not allowing service dogs. They were unable/unwilling to provide me a copy of their “no service dog” policy and no signs were visible. We have never had an issue like this. My daughter takes her dog to work, medical appointments, shopping, etc. her service dog even when with her when she was hospitalized and stayed in her room. They discriminated against my daughter based on her disability and her need for a service dog (who is fully trained specifically for my daughter’s needs). This is illegal!!!!!!

Waited for over 3 hours at the Trussville location to be seen for a simple follow up from work place injury. Asked multiple times for updates and was never told when I would be seen. Thank goodness I wasn’t sick.

I had a great experience at the Attleboro MA location, from the front desk to the care I received. The woman at the front desk was awesome & so kind. The Nurses Assistant Tony could read me & knew I was nervous & eased my stress. The doctor knew exactly what was wrong & didn’t want to drain my account with testing & whatnot. They all spoke to me & listened to me with respect. I hate being sick but if I get sick again, this is where I’m going.

Long wait with only 3 people ahead of me on the wait list. once I was taken back it was a long wait again. I was seen quickly and prescribed antibiotics. The pharmacy could not dispense them because of conflicting instructions. I called the Urgent care back and given to an office manager who refused to let the PA or Dr. know about the screw up and told me the4 pharmacy had to call. I was unable to get my medication because she was rude the whole time and would not help me as a patient who was just there. The headquarters has no CONTACT US so this is my only way to complain. Store is Midlothian, Virginia.

Went for visit my back was hurting dr did X-rays and referred me for a MRI for a better view of my osteoporosis and degenerative disc disease. They submitted the wrong referral code and when I contacted them back to get this resolved I was told the Dr was not available and won’t be available until the end of the month! No one was able to make the correction, so now I have to wait? I called several times and spoke with the Opa-Locka and the Auburn Office to be told that I would receive a phone call back never received a call back My insurance company got the same experience. This is not only unprofessional but unfair for someone who is in discomfort and in a lot of pain to not be able to get the Care that is needed because of a doctors mistake! Tried contacting the corporate office to be on, hold an unable to speak to anyone regarding this matter, If you wanna file a complaint against a location, you have to leave a message. Well, I’ve left a message and I doubt I’ll ever receive a phone call back. This is unfair that any patient should be treated this way. I thought this was an urgent care Facility then why am I waiting for my care to be addressed?

Avoid this business like the plague. Service was slow and apathetic when I used them several months ago, but the real issue is that my debit card was fraudulently charged this morning at 5am before the business was even open. No one there should even have access to my card number. I have made several attempts to speak with the manager but was unsuccessful. I was also given a bad phone number for the corporate office. It this point I have to assume either the manager doesn’t care about credit card crimes taking place in her business or possibly she knows all about it and has no issue with it. Either way, avoid this place at all costs!

Had a horrible experience at a clinic. Have been trying to call the corporate office to complain about the doctor. The corporate office doesn’t wanna answer their phones and does not want to call me back. Worst service ever.
